Feb. 9, 2008: Viapren, marketed by a group calling themselves Pharmazone, is committing nothing short of fraud, selling what appears to be peppermint breath strips as some type of sexual enhancement compound. These people operate as scammers of the worst sort.
Not only do they charge $10 for "free" samples; they then compound the scam by charging an additional $48 for the first shipment. In my case, the sample and the first shipment arrived on the same day, with the associated charges appearing on my American Express account.
When I saw the charges on my bill, I immediately called the company. A female, apparently one of only a few employees there, indicated on Dec. 27, 2007, she would issue a credit and that there was no need to return the product.
No credit appeared, so I contacted them again. The same woman lied about what she had said earlier and said a credit wouldn't be issued unless the product was returned. I did on Jan. 12 and notified American Express I was putting the amount in dispute. On Feb. 8, I received a letter from American Express indicating that the scammers claimed they had not received the return and that American Express could not issue a credit.
I am providing a copy of the return letter, as well as a USPS Delivery Verification receipt as a follow-up to Pharmazone and American Express and will provide information about the results.
It is indeed unfortunate that scammers are allowed to not only advertise in reputable publications like USA Today, and then can attempt to deny refunds, using American Express as an accomplice. More to come on this, I'm sure.
i work for the viapren company too. if you are dumb enough to call up and order somethign off the radio and you use your credit card AND they tell you their going to send it to you every month and a light doesnt go on in your head you deserve to get ripped off. dumb rednecks.
but hey, i cant be too mad at you. your stupidity is paying all of my bills.
I called the 800 number to find out about Viaprin the person who answered, sent a red flag up immediately He tried to close me within the first minute. and when I told him that I wanted to see there website first before I sent him the $9.00 shipping charge. When I asked him to spell for the website I asked him to spell Viaprin
for me. He didn't spell it right. He spelled it BRAEREN.
Yeah , this company is the worst, scum of the earth. Scamming people everyday. And you know I would not mind paying for the product if it actually works. Its terrible, it does absolutely nothing. The man on the phone was a complete douchebag and if I ever saw him on the street I would strangle his little lying head till it burst . I am so pissed I fell for this. Never again. I swear if I get another charge on my credit card I will sue the *** out of this company and try to organize a class action law suit against them.

I THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE THE VIAPREN ADS OFF THE AIR. THE PRODUCT AND THE COMPANY ARE A RIP-OFF!!
I ORDERED THEIR "FREE SAMPLE" AFTER HEARING THEIR AD ON YOUR STATION ONE MORNING @ $14.95. THE FIRST TIME THEY SENT THE PRODUCT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, WHEN I CALLED 5 DAYS LATER, THEY DISCOVERED 'THEIR' ERROR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND OUT ANOTHER, WELL 6 DAYS LATER I GOT IT, FIRST IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING, THEY ARE JUST BREATH MINT STRIPS, SECOND I CALLED THE ON THE 10th DAY TO CANCEL AND THEY HAD ALREADY BILLED MY CREDIT ACCT. AND HAD ADDED 3 SMALL CHARGES ALONG WITH THE $48.95 FOR A NEW PACKAGE OF PRODUCT. THEY SAID THEY SENT IT AND TO WAIT ABOUT 10 DAYS BEFORE CALLING THEM BACK.
SO ON THE 10th DAY I CALLED AND THEIR PHONES MYSTERIOUSLY WERE OUT OF ORDER. NOW 20 DAYS LATER I HAVE RECEIVED NO PRODUCT. I HAVE NOW FILED A REPORT WITH MY BANK, AN ONLINE CONSUMER RIP-OFF SERVICE AND NEXT WILL BE THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. I WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING MY LAWYER TO CHECK ON A "CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT".
I LISTEN TO 96.5 ALL THE TIME AND THOUGHT I COULD TRUST THE ADS I HEAR ON -AIR. WELL THAT WILL NOT BE THE CASE ANY MORE. I HOPE IN THE FUTURE YOU GUYS CHECK THESE FLY-BY-NITE RIPOFFS BEFORE YOU PUT THEIR "CRAP" ADS ON THE AIR. IF YOU GOOGLE THEM, YOU WILL SEE ALL THE TROUBLE AND COMPLAINTS.
Fools who buy snake oil and wonder why it dosn't work...it is just amazing that *** like this can CONTINUE to take advantage of the gullible. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROLLY IS!!!! wake up and stop whining....
My story is the same...too bad I didn't find these reviews before I placed an order.
They charged me 10 bucks for shipping, told me the membership with American Leisure is free just call to cancel after 2 weeks and I even asked them if Viapren is automatically on reorder and the guy had told me no. He said I will be charge 10 bucks for the sample and if I like it, call back and then they will start the cycle after that call. As you probably can guess that didn't happen, it was on automated reorder right from the start, which I found out after I saw $50 bucks on my online statement. Also found out that American Leisure wasn't the only thing they put me on. They started me on something Saver membership as well, both charged fees just to open an account, which knock out the "free" part the guy had said. Called Viapren back, told me I just have to send the package back to them and the $50 will be refunded in 13-30 days, not sure if that will happen. BTW, the person from Viapre that told me this was a girl name Natalie.
At least American Leisure seem to be easy to deal with. Their company run both AL and that Saver program I had mentioned, and I was able to cancel both pretty easily. But not sure if they will stay cancel yet.....I hope they don't pull what some people said Viapren did to them.

My story sounds like everyone elses!!! Ordered the product...paid 10 bucks for shipping and handling. Was told after 30 days another shipment would come, BUT we could cancel prior to that. We recieved the first order within days of receiving the free trial. I called and got 3 different cancellation numbers..and since the order had already been shipped, they would not refund the money!!! PLUS...now were getting products from another company working with them..whome we did NOT authorize to take money out of our account. DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!!
Same problem. Only they keep charging my credit card EVERY MONTH for this product which was cancelled. I still have it in dispute, but have canceled the card

What they claimed to be free, was charged for almost $ 10 and the next 5 days they charged my debit card for 48.78 for the exact same thing. I don't even try it yet, since they hurt my feelings by charging my card. I doubt it was a piece of trash and from what I read then it is.
